Hippy strides to take control of my life. Drs bail to avoid jail. Big pharma deals for cash. You know what? You can kiss my ass. Leaders knowing nothing. We must teach them it's a good thing. With all the states that are banned, these chronic pain patients need a hand. Why are we hiding when Kelly and Dereck are fighting? A bit of kratom for myself, I must keep some on the shelf. A world full of herbs, not for sale on the curbs. No more poison for me. I am finally drug free.

Medicine is produced by Mother Earth. Providing our needs; proving their worth. Don't think health comes from only prescriptions, when herbs will do the same, void of addiction. Break the chains, heal the pain. Take control. Strains and veins to maintain body and soul.

Herbs that are green, keif that is gold, dabs that are yellow wrapped up in a fold. Roll something up, make sure it tastes good, spark with a lighter now that’s some good good. When times do get tough or you’re feeling down, light up a joint it will sure change your frown. Headaches and pains...anxiety too, that THC helps me always get through. From dark days to bright ones, from lemon haze to northern light ones, All the nugs bring something of their own, some wake you up while others make you stay home. Indica or sativa or a hybrid of both, I’m banging on my glass please give me this toast. For family events you barely sit through or those long school days oh wait...that’s not true. Weed helps me a lot when nobody else is there, to help with the stress and avoid that grey hair. My stomach will rumble and make me feel sick so the best thing to do is pack a bowl with a fire stick. Finally legal, took long enough, now all us potheads can smoke the good stuff. So there is my story, pot helps me stay sane, find yourself some of that green stuff and just relax your brain.

Oh Kratom how I love thee. My favorite is confetti. It makes me not feel throat punchy.

Busy days and long Lonely Nights, Kratom helps me deal with my plights. red green and white 4 early morn, and a chocolate toddy for late at night. The doctors pills are the devil, my Kratom is God sent. To stay on this course I am hell-bent.

As I struggled with life for so many years, there wasn't much laughter but so many tears. Much disappointment to many more than myself, family and friends put away on a shelf. Watching life quickly pass me on by, if things didn't change, I surely would die. As death loomed closer, inevitable for sure, along came a birth, so perfect and pure. Addiction was losing the fight for my life, I again felt real love, begin to take flight. I still needed help, that was for sure, I then learned of kratom leaves, both young and mature. I began ridding myself of the evil in life, i began taking kratom for pain, anxiety and strife. As I stand here today, oh so grateful to God, for making this plant for both mind and the bod.

All alone and hating life. ... pain and heartache.. only death would suffice. Holding on by a thread. Getting high was the only thought in my head. A glimmer of hope, and a small flash of fear, wondering If this herb was for real. My life now has meaning, my son has his mother, my dad has his daughter and I have my brother. Kratom&Kava, they both saved my life. No more searching and no more strife. I can get up and get on with my day..... now, nothing will ever get in the way. A positive outlook, a new way of living.... all because just one friend felt like giving ♡

Just like the white Maeng Da Toss and wash Sounds like she's singing Ooo, ooo, ooo Just like the white Maeng Da Toss and wash Sounds like she's singing Ooo, baby, ooo said ooo And the mail goes by Like a strand in the wind In the web that is my own I wait again Said to my mailman, baby Nothin' else mattered It was no more than a kilo then Well I seemed broken hearted Then he reached in the back And the moment that I first laid Eyes on it, mine all alone On the edge of mitragynine

I know it is past the date for submission, and as such, do not expect to be considered for any prize. However, I just wanted to add my piece, as I think this is a fabulous project: My Kratom Romance I just wanted to live a regular life, But it wasn’t to be the case. Illness brought me its nasty strife, And laid my days to waste. Starting with some painful ailments That doctors disbelieved, Only when I got those two bad cancers Did they deem I deserved relief. "Your pain," they said, "is here to stay, But we’ll help you through with these” I beheld my pharmaceutical buffet, Picked up with so much ease. Soon after, I was faithfully taking The generously doled prescriptions, Amber bottles, “big pharma’s” making, Replete with eerie warning descriptions. The pills removed much of my body’s strife, Though dulled I found my intellect. A cushion between me and life Grew soft and big, a sad disconnect. These pills also made it hard to sleep, Though there was no other way, So, of course, more pills were piled upon the heap; More drugs to get through the day. Tick-tock, my life became a measurement, Of dosing and enduring The absent mind, the body’s slavery; I felt I’d lost my mooring. So many natural remedies I’d tried; To leave the poison was my hope, But nothing helped and I resigned Myself to being this stupid dope. One day I read about the Kratom tree, And I decided to give it a chance. Oh my, it worked, so splendidly~ There began my Kratom romance. In full sentences I began to speak again; Amazement was my state. I frankly couldn’t remember when I last had felt so great. A liberation, so long awaited, From prescription need Free from the feeling that I hated; Free from big pharma’s greed I behold the power hungry greedy, Aiming to rip away my relief. So many out there, hurting and needy, Returned to Rx grief. Criminals I call them all, In their dirty game. Blood on their hands, as people fall, They scheme, devoid of shame. I will fight until I have no fight left To keep legal this lifesaving botanical, It will never be OK, I scream, To leave people to suffer, in acts tyrannical. Returned to life, it’s praises I sing, Of Kratom and its wonder Of the myriad help it brings, That no one, ever, need put asunder.
